Jessta James – Hell’s Coming With Me

All Music Country & Folk

I’m that howlin’ in the wind
I’m that storm that’s closing in
Boy, I’m coming

The thunder rolls and the mountains shake
These barrels smoke from the souls they take
Yeah, I’m coming
And Hell’s coming with me

This fire in my eyes will flash like lightning from my soul
Heart just like a raven’s wing, turns black when it grows cold
The taste of sweet revenge, it’ll cost you more than gold
And the wages of our sins will seal our fate to one below
Now, I’ m a man of God, but boy you’ve gone and crossed that line
So I’ll be that pale horse rider and vengeance will be mine

I’m that howlin’ in the wind
I’m that storm that’s closing in
Boy, I’m coming

The thunder rolls and the mountains shake
These barrels smoke from the souls they take
Yeah, I’m coming
And Hell’s coming with me

That song that reaper sings, well, it’s one as old as time
And I’ve felt those angels come for me, more than once or twice
And I know one day I’ll face them scales, but I pray it’s not today
‘Cause the cold steel I hold in these hands, have one more song to play
Once you’ve spilled one drop of blood, you can’t remove the stain
But I’ve got some scores to settle, Lord, and each bullet has a name

I’m that howlin’ in the wind
I’m that storm that’s closing in
Boy, I’m coming

The thunder rolls and the mountains shake
These barrels smoke from the souls they take
Yeah, I’m coming
And Hell’s coming with me

I’ll bring the fire from below
Where there ain’t no tomorrows
I’ll probably end up where you go
Might be my legacy
I guess we’ll see
‘Cause Hell’s coming with me

Oh yeah
Yeah, Hell’s coming with me
Oh yeah
Hell’s coming with me, yeah
Hell’s coming with me, yeah
I said Hell’s coming with me

Country singer and songwriter Jessta James grew up in Bozeman, Montana. He was exposed to classic outlaw country as a child, added Southern hard rock as an influence while he was in high school, and then discovered hip-hop after he had graduated and begun a career in the construction business. He didn’t write his first official song until he was 24 years old, and by now firmly in the hip-hop guise, he built a home studio and began building and recording songs from beats and his own free-styled lyrics, hitting a stage to perform whenever he could. James moved to the West Coast to further his deepening involvement in hip-hop music, all the while listening for that sound he heard in his head that mixed all of his influences into a single vision, frequently experimenting with country elements in his hip-hop productions. James’ musical vision finally fell into place when he met producer Dan Hannon, who flipped things a bit, suggesting James add hip-hop elements to a country base instead of the other way around. Everything clicked, and James’ debut album, Time to Get Right, was released in the spring of 2013 by Brash Music…
